LISTON, Walter Robert

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Walter Liston on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the age of 68. A devoted husband to Joanne and a cherished father to Andrew and Brandon, he was a brother to Kathryn, Barbara, and Harry, and was predeceased by his brother Fred. Walter was also a brother-in-law to Hendrick and Grant, and an uncle to Karen, Conrad, Angus, Stuart, and Donna.

He will be deeply missed by his many friends, including those he made during his time at the Aylmer Accommodation Center (CHSLD Renaissance). The family is grateful to the compassionate staff of Unit 1 for their care and kindness.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Walter's memory to Rare Dementia Support Canada, helping other families facing similar challenges.

Walter's friends and family would all agree—he was the funniest person they ever had the pleasure of knowing. He had a rare gift for uplifting people and making them laugh until they cried.

As a Trekkie, he would likely say in spirit:

❝ Spock! Bones! Beam me up, Scotty! ❞

And joking aside, he'd leave us with his favourite words of wisdom:

❝ There's no wrong answer ❞

❝ We're doin' well ❞

❝ Stay on target ❞

❝ Don't sweat the small stuff ❞

❝ Always give someone an out ❞
