DRAKE PICKEN, Vera

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the CHUS Fleurimont in Sherbrooke on Thursday, January 11th 2007, Vera Drake Picken in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of the late Arnold Malcolm (Mac) Picken and dear mother of Elizabeth (Kenneth Jones), Edward, Bruce (Marion), Stuart (Joanne), Marilyn, Gary and Nancy. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Kimberly, Marlon, Joey, Alex, Amanda, Adam and Rachel and great-grandmother of Ethan. She will also be sadly missed by her brother Allan Drake (Ivy), her nieces, nephews and many friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke, QC ( Lennoxville), Tel: (819) 564-1750 / www.casshomes.ca, where friends may visit on Monday, January 15th 2007 from 7 to 9pm and on Tuesday, January 16th from 1 to 2pm, followed by the funeral service at 2:00pm with the Rev. Barbara Willard officiating. Spring interment in the Johnville Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made to the Johnville Cemetery c/o Bruce Smith, 38-2 Maple St., Stanstead, QC J0B 3E4, and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
