WHITCOMB, Stanley

Peacefully at the Magog Hospital, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the age of 94. Stanley James Whitcomb was the beloved husband of the late Olive Bryan and loving father of Sandra ( late John Kimpton ), Catherine ( late Michel Lefebvre ) , Nancy, Amy and the late Edward James and was also the cherished grandfather of John K. Kimpton ( Sylvie Tremblay ), Cindy Whitcomb ( Steven Laroche ), Raymond Lefebvre and Jamie Whitcomb and the great grandfather of John Alex, Julia, Justin and Samantha. Stanley is survived by his brother Robert ( Olive ), and his many nieces , nephews and friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 900 Clough St. Ayer's Cliff, QC on Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 7 to 9 pm and on Friday, January 27th from 1 to 1:45. A funeral service will held in the St. James Anglican Church at 2 pm with the Rev. Barbara Wintle officiating. Interment in the St. James Cemetery, Hatley, QC. As Memorial tributes, donations may be made to the Light Horse Commity, either the Cookshire or Ayer's Cliff Fair, C/O Shanna Loach, 1750 McVety Rd., Waterville, QC, J0B 3H0 would be appreciated by the family.
