ROTHNEY, Ronald

Passed away peacefully at the CHUS Hôtel-Dieu Hospital, Sherbrooke, Quebec, on Sunday December 18th 2005, at the age of 93 years. Ronald Thomas Rothney, beloved husband of the late Wilmoth Frances Richardson and dear father of Edwin (Darlene Bride), Richard (Sharron Hodge), Donald (Linda Guy), Donna (Stan Cathcart) and Marilyn (David Grey).Cherished Grandfather of Kevin, Ronald (Sherri Convey), Kelly (Dave Zako), Troy (Kathryn McBurney), Lynn (Jean Powell), Jason, Dana, Emily and Christopher. He was also the Great-Grandfather of Bethany, Thomas, Jacob, Nicholas, Colten and Alyssa. Ron is survived by his sister Esther Campbell and his sister-in-law Roberta Smith. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 6 Belvidere, Lennoxville 819-564-1750, www.casshomes.ca, where friends may call on Wednesday December 21st 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place at St-Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Lennoxville, Quebec on Thursday December 22nd at 11 am, with the Reverend John Barry Forsyth officiating. Interment in the Eaton Cemetery. As memorial tributes, donations to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, 1929 Bayview ave., Toronto, Ontario M4G 3E8 or the Arthritis Society, 564 King east, Sherbrooke, (Quebec), J1G 1B5 or the charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
