Murphy, Ronald Henry Passed away on October 27, 2011, at the age of 88. Ron was predeceased by his parents Eliza Haldenby and Henry Murphy; his wives Theresa Monaghan and Margaret Singleton; and his sister Helen and her husband Stanley Wilson. He leaves to mourn his loss, his niece Wanda (late Austin Cook) and her children Karen (Gilles) and Randall (Sue); his brothers-in-law and sisters -in-law, Peter and Leona Monaghan and Bob and Monique Monaghan; his many Monaghan and McPeak nieces and nephews and his goddaughter Maureen Monaghan. A World War II veteran, Ron was a proud member of Unit 318 of the Army, Navy, Air Force Veterans in Canada and will be sadly missed by all his friends at the Hut. The family would like to thank the many neighbours and friends who assisted Ron and made it possible for him to remain in his home, especially Suzanne Suitor, Pete Goodin, Andrew and Marie Letemplier. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke ( Lennoxville ), on Monday, October 31, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at 2 pm in the St. George's Anglican Church, 84 Queen St. Sherbrooke, QC J1M 1J4. The Ven. Dean Ross officiating. Internment at the Malvern Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honour of Ron can be made to St George’s Anglican Church, 84 Queen Street, Sherbrooke, QC J1M 1J4.
