It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Thomas on Saturday, June16, 2012 at the Georgetown Hospital surrounded by his family. Robert was born to the late Mr. Daniel Thomas and the late Mrs. Bernice (née Kowoski) Thomas on January 17, 1935 in Toronto, ON. Robert was employed with the Kirkland Lake Police as well as with the Fire Department. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years Geraldine (née McCann); his children Deryl Lee, Kelly Ann, Robin Shawn and his sister Lois Wadden. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Krysta, Christopher, Tayler, Breanna, Tristen; his precious great grandchildren Kyra and Brendan and his 2 white fluffy faithful companions Marlee and Sasha. The family will welcome friends at the MONETTE & FRENCH FUNERAL HOME (450 Government Road West, Kirkland Lake, ON., P2N 3L1) on Friday, June 22, 2012 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. from the “Teck-Hughes” Chapel of the funeral home.
