MATTHEWS, Rev. Ruth

Now home with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Ruth passed away quietly on December 9th, 2006 at the age of 90. Daughter of Arthur H. and Ruth H. Matthews (nee Ward), and dear sister of the late Ray, the late Mildred (late Harry Austin) and the late Arthur Humphrey Matthews (late Shirley Peddle). Beloved aunt of Nancy (Ron Ward), Elizabeth Horner, Janet (Rick Billson), Linda (Steve Smith), Michael Austin (Marita) and Lawrence Matthews (Wendy). Ruth also leaves to mourn her many great nieces and nephews, her great great nieces and nephews, her beloved friends Eunice Lloyd and Bonnie Laxson, along with many other dear friends and colleagues. Resting at St-Anne’s Anglican Church, 171 Principale S., Richmond, where friends may visit on Monday December 11th from 7 to 9PM and on Tuesday from 1 to 1:45PM, followed by the service at 2:00PM with The Most Reverend A. Bruce Stavert, the Venerable Heather Thomson, the Reverend Canon Ronald West, and the Reverend Andrew O’Donnell officiating. Interment in the St-James Cemetery, Lac Beauport QC will take place at a later date. Donations to the Canadian Bible Society, The Diocesan A.C.W. Bursary Fund, or the Society or Charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
