Sheldon, Randall

SHELDON, Randall

1956 - 2023

Randall David Sheldon passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the age of 67 after a short and courageous battle with cancer.  He was born June 5, 1956 in Niagara Falls.

Predeceased by his parents Lois and Bert Sheldon and his beloved son Tommy.
He is survived by his constant companion "wife" Brenda Klerks, his two beautiful daughters Stephanie Leblanc of Kenabeek and Nicole (Freddie) Caligiuri of Niagara Falls, his grandchildren Tristan (Casandra) Sheldon of Lorraine Valley, Braidon Sheldon of Fort Erie, Justine Leblanc of Kenabeek and Damien Caligiuri of Niagara Falls, one great-grandchild Gwen Sheldon of Lorraine Valley and stepson Kyle Klerks of Ajax.
Also survived by his loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
Randy grew up in Black Creek, moved to Fort Erie and then moved north to the small town of Kenabeek, then built his dream home in Charlton.

He was an avid hunter, spending many days in the bush in Niagara hunting deer and for many years going to Kapuskasing with his friends to hunt moose and bear and fish.
Randy was also a prolific archer, in his younger years he was a member of the Canadian Archery team and competed in Mexico.
His talents were many.  He rebuilt or painted all of his collection of International tractors. Built himself a sawmill from scratch.  Built our wee cabin on the Montreal River where we spent many a night sitting on the deck enjoying the serenity of our peaceful oasis.  Randy planned and built our dream home "Woodsend" in the bush in Charlton. These are only a few of the things he accomplished in his lifetime.
He was passionate about his position of Deputy Chief at the Savard and Area Fire Department, always striving to make the volunteers be the best they could be.
Cremation has taken place.
Burial will be at a later date at McAffee Cemetery in Fort Erie.

Your dreams were plentiful but time was against you.
Randy you will be missed greatly by your family and all who had the pleasure of knowing you.
