KINGHORN, Ralph

2008

Ralph Milton Kinghorn (1921-2008) passed away suddenly on August 2nd, in his 88th year. Married 56 years, to the day, to Lucy Rose Stewart. He was the son of John Milton Kinghorn and Verna Mary (May) Scott. Left to mourn his loss, his wife Lucy, son John, and his daughters E. May and Marlene (Nicki). He will be greatly missed by his only two granddaughters Torrey May and Kasey Rea of Ottawa. He also leaves behind a sister Reta Godwin (Fred) and his nephews, Robin Godwin (Carol) and Constable Gary Godwin (Miranda). We celebrate the many accomplishments of Ralph M. Kinghorn. He was a proud World War II Veteran, serving for the Royal Canadian Engineers overseas. He was a prized employee for the B.F. Goodrich plant in Waterville for 32 years. He was also a passionate and well renowned gunsmith for many years. He was known far and wide for his expertise in all firearms old and new. A small intimate service to celebrate the life of Ralph M. Kinghorn will be held at the Cass Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 6th. A visiting hour will be held from 3:30-4:30pm with a short service thereafter. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Megantic County Historical Society, Inverness, Quebec, G0S 1K0.
