warm your heart
It is with great sadness that we announced the passing of Phyllis Gauthier (née Rowe), on November 21st, 2023 at Centre d’Hébergement Argyll in Sherbrooke, Qc.
Phyllis had an exceptional career as both a radiology and nuclear medicine technician. She loved giving back to her community and once retired, she joined the Anglican Church Women (ACW), where she continued to thrive and create lasting friendships.
She was sadly predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years George and son Bob. Phyllis leaves to mourn her daughters Anne and Susan (Serge); sister Pauline; daughter-in-law Ruth; sister-in-law Caroline; her grand children Chlöe, Jaime, Christie, Eric, Mark and Daniel; her great-grand-children Benjamin, Briar and Hadley. She also leaves behind her nephew Steven and nieces Catherine and Lynn. Phyllis loved gathering the family and made many unforgettable memories for us all.
Funeral services will be held on May 18th at St-George's Anglican Church in Ayer's Cliff: visitation at 10 a.m. with a service to follow at 11 a.m. A luncheon afterwards at the Catholic Church Hall on Clough St.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St-George’s ACW, which she presided over for many years (c/o Elizabeth Schoolcraft, 885 Clough Street, Ayer’s Cliff, J0B 1C0). Donations may also be made to St. Thomas Westbury Cemetery Maintenance Fund (c\o Mr. Roger Heatherington 338 Warner Street, East Angus, QC, J0B 1R0).
The family extends its gratitude and appreciation to all the compassionate staff from Le Renaissance Manoir St-Francis in Lennoxville and to the staff at Centre d’Hébergement Argyll in Sherbrooke for your immeasurable empathy and diligence. She will be missed by all that knew her.
