CARRIERES, Paul Marcel

Paul Marcel Carrieres passed away peacefully Friday after a brief illness at the tender age of 72. Paul held a number of occupations over his lifetime, but his main interests were in family and reading science fiction and fantasy. Despite his limited means, Paul was always very generous with both his time and money. Paul had a very dry sense of humour that his family loved and that he exercised liberally even into his last days.

Paul is predeceased by his parents Marcel and Eleanor as well as his siblings John (Cynthia Millard) and Mary Anne (Duncan de Kergommeaux).

He will be sorely missed by his sisters Kathleen (Remi Beauce) and Sandra and his brother Tom (Annette Solimene). He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews, Tara, Justin, Joanna, Alessandra, Genevieve, Alexander, John, Shannon, Shawna, Meaghan and Erin.

The family would like to express their great appreciation to many caring staff at the Hull Hospital and especially at the Maison Mathieu Froment-Savoie.

A celebration of Paul’s life will be announced at a later date.
