FARWELL, Norma Eliza

2017

1930-2017

It is with much sadness that we announce her passing on October 26th, 2017 at the age of 87. She was the daughter of the late Judson and the late Eliza Farwell.
She is survived by her brother Donnie (Olene), her sister Jean (late Louis Monty) and her brother-in-law Bill Hudson (late Joyce), many nieces & nephews and very close friends.
Norma was predeceased by her brothers Albert (late Violet), Arthur, and sisters Esther (late Clovis Côté) and Joyce (Bill Hudson).
Norma was born in Compton and later her parents moved to Ayer’s Cliff.
For many years she was a truly dedicated teacher. She was a very wise person, her voice and lessons will remain in our hearts. She enjoyed music, especially opera, cross-country skiing and curling.
She will be greatly missed.
A private ceremony will take place at the Ives Hill Cemetery in Compton.

Miss Farwell Was a teacher Of mine at AGRHS. I was taking the clerical courses at the time. This was before CEGEP was started and she kindly referred me to a position at the library at Bishops University. Right out of school I had a job! She never forgot and In later years she would ask my Mom about me and send greetings when they were at the hairdresser in Ayer’s Cliff at the same time. I am grateful she was one of my teachers who got me started on my journey to entrepreneurship. My deepest sympathies to you all.
