MIRON, Muriel

GERVAIS, Muriel (née Miron) from Gatineau, previously from Alexandria,

She passed away peacefully on July 7^th 2018 at the age of 71 with her loving family by her side. Born July 19^th 1946 at Dalhousie Station to Rolland and Laurette (née Ménard), she was the beloved wife for over fifty years to Gaston Gervais and loving mother to her son Martin and daughter Manon (Sofiane Ouchabane).  She is predeceased by her brother Claude Miron and survived by her brothers Jean-Paul Miron and Pierre Miron (Gisèle Roy); her sisters Monique Levac (Robert) and Gisèle Jolicoeur (Michael); brother-in- law Rhéal Gervais (Denise Beauchamp); aunt Aline Ménard. She will be missed by several nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives, many close friends and former colleagues from the Ottawa Hospital.

A commemorative service in the presence of the ashes will take place on Sunday, July 22^nd  at 2 p.m. at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L’OUTAOUAIS, located at 95 boulevard Cité-des-Jeunes in Gatineau (Hull sector). The family will be receiving condolences as of 12:30 and friends are invited to share memories and celebrate the life of a warm and generous woman.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Palliative Care Unit of the Gatineau Hospital for their compassionate care and support.

As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, in memory donations can be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Chère Manon,

Juste un bref mot pour te dire toute notre amitié et notre sympathie, à Karine et à moi. On t'aime et on t'embrasse fort dans ces moments difficiles.

Je crois savoir que tu as passé beaucoup de temps cette dernière année sur les routes, afin d'être là le plus souvent possible pour entourer ta maman, avec ton frère et ton père. C'est là une grande marque de courage et d'affection. Je te reconnais bien.

Nous te souhaitons à ton père, à Martin et à toi que la douleur se dissipe et que l'amour qui vous a animé dans ces moments-là continue de vous unir. Avant de te revoir, le plus tôt possible j'espère, je te transmets nos plus sincères condoléances.
