Dr. Micheline Boyer
My heartfelt condolences to you and your family at this difficult time.
It is with regret that we announce the passing of Mrs. Monique Boyer on March 12, 2023, at the age of 91. She was the wife of the late Jean Adélard Boyer and the daughter of the late Adolphe-Louis Couture and the late Senora Boivin.
She is survived by her children Jean-Claude (late Danielle), Micheline (Paul), Sylvie (Pierre) and Hélène (Shayne); her grandchildren Marie-Hélène (Joseph), Matthew (late), Alexander, Laura, Amélie (Brian), Michèle (Matthew), Annie (Hartt), Jean-Daniel (Samantha), Stéphanie (Adel), Olivier (Layan) and David (Kaitlyn); her great-grandchildren Eleanor, Jacob, Mia, Sophie, Maxime, Hazel, Colton, Emerson, Elena. She also leaves her brother Jean-Charles and sister Thérèse, her sisters-in-law Laurence and Anita as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by 11 siblings, and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Even as a child, Monique showed an openness to the world around her. Having been particularly troubled by the events surrounding the Second World War, she would sometimes discuss these events with her father at the bank where he worked as the Manager.
Full of life, and although a bit shy, she was also somewhat mischievous. She was an avid reader, an excellent tennis player and in her youth, won several tennis tournaments in singles and also in doubles with her brother Rémi.
Mom was a gentle and sensitive woman. We would often arrive home from school to the wonderful smell of freshly baked bread and polished floors. She was incredibly patient and always took the time to listen to us.
Her faith, which she constantly sought to deepen, was a guiding force in her life. Very generous and welcoming, she loved to be of service. She participated in various parish activities and did volunteer work. Later, with our dad, she became involved in numerous religious movements.
She loved wholeheartedly and unconditionally and we already miss her very much.
The family will receive condolences, in the presence of ashes, on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L'OUTAOUAIS located at 95 boul. de la Cité-des-Jeunes in Gatineau (Hull sector).
