The family announces with sorrow her death in Hammond on July 17 2002 at the age of 77 years.
Daughter of the late Euclide Beaudry and the late Marie-Ange Beaudry (born Leclair).
Loving wife of Leo R. Blais of Hammond. Dear mother of Eric L. Blais (late Rod Conte) of Toronto and Angeline Blais (Francis Anjo) of Ottawa. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her granddaughter Katrielle Blais-Pennock. Predeceased by her sister Marcelle Côté (Jos). Survived by her sisters Madeleine Rancourt (late Serge), Estelle Rainville (late Raymond, late Orient Gagnon), Lucie Beauparlant (Marcel) of Sturgeon Falls. Also survived by her sisters Liliane Robin (Ernest) of Cochrane, Huguette Gascon (late Edouard) of St. Jacobs, Francine Latham (Bill) of Oakwood, and her brothers Gaëtan (Denise Beausoleil), and Ulysse (late Denise Brazeau) both of North Bay.
She was the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She considered “family” a priority and the basis of social life.
She was a teacher at heart and taught at all levels from kindergarten to college; she also taught French to federal employees with the Language Bureau.
Her passion was with the environment and gardening. She was a member of Boisés Est, the French association for privately owned woodlots in Eastern Ontario since its inception in 1998.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
