LARAMÉE, Michel

1948 - 2024

Michel Joseph Bertrand Pierre Laramée

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Michel Joseph Bertrand Pierre Laramée on March 4th, 2024 at the age of 75 in Sherbrooke, Quebec.

Born on August 12, 1948, Michel was the beloved son of Rita Turgeon & Emile "Jim" Laramée. A loyal employee of Carnation (Nestlé) for more than four decades, Michel was also an active member of Lennoxville's Volunteer Fire Department.

Michel married Brenda McHarg in 1974 and together they shared 49 wonderful years of marriage. Michel was a loving father to Joey (Rachel Hunting), Eric (Fallon Kennedy), & Nathalie (Danny Gagnon), and a cherished grandfather to Lydia, Jayden, Joel, & Jace.

Michel had a passion for outdoor sports, particularly fishing and hunting. He was known for his kindness, forgiving nature, and his generosity. Never hesitating to lend a helping hand, Michel's compassionate spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Above all, Michel was most proud of his family; cherishing family vacations, camping trips, and the time spent together around the campfire. These moments brought him great joy and were a testament to his dedication and love for his family.

Michel is survived by his sisters Diane (Harold Gilchrist) and Sylvie (the late Claude Larochelle), and his brother Jacques. Michel was preceded in death by his parents Rita and Emile and his brother-in-law Claude Larochelle.

A private family service will be held on July 2nd at Malvern Cemetery. Michel will be deeply missed by all who knew him, his legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
