We extend our deepest sympathy to Merritts family and friends. He was an amazing historian and love to share his knowledge. His book '' The Man Behind the Story'' is a testament to that fact .

My deepest condolences on the loss of your father, grandfather, and great grandfather. I only met Mr. Belknap a few years ago through a mutual friend. He was a quiet man with a genuine passion for history and story telling. He also had a quite the sense of humour. Rest in peace, Mr. Belknap.
