YOUNG, Maurice

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Maurice Young on November 7, 2024, at the age of 82. He was the son of the late Georges Young and of the late Gabrielle Lortie. 

He leaves behind his son Christopher (Renée-Marie Bélair), his grandchildren: Liam and Sarah. He also leaves his former wife and friend Lorley Rawn, his sister Liliane (Aurel Gagnon) and brother Robert as well as nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Penelope Young, his sister Françoise and his brothers Richard and Raymond.

A Celebration of life will be held at the Coopérative funéraire de l’Outaouais, 95 de la Cité-des-Jeunes Boulevard in Gatineau (Hull sector), on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 2 p.m. The family will receive condolences as of 1:15 p.m.

La famille de Maurice

RIP Maurice. J’ai eu le privilège de travailler avec toi au fédéral. Tu as toujours été un chic type et taquin. Nous avons passé du bon temps et je garde ces précieux souvenirs dans mon cœur. Je viens de voir cette nouvelle et je tiens à te souhaiter un beau voyage vers ta nouvelle destinée. Mes vœux de sympathies accompagnent tes proches qui vivent l’absence de ton départ.
