SARAZIN, Marguerite Aline

1932 - 2023

Marguerite Aline Sarazin :

It is with immense sadness that we announce the death of Aline Sarazin, spouse of late Hubert Sarazin and daughter of late Willy Brazeau and late Fleur-Ange Beaudry. With her two children at bedside, Francine (late Peter Ely) and Jacques (Josiane Guarnaccia), she died peacefully at the age of 91 years, on December 15th, 2023 at The Ottawa Hospital. Aside her children, she leaves behind two beloved grandsons, Philippe Sarazin (Mélissa Beaudoin) and Alexandre Ely (Elsa-Karine Harchaoui), two great-grandsons, Jayden Sarazin and Liam Ely, who brought her much joy and a reason to live, as well as a great-grandson yet to be born, Nathan Ely. Predeceased by her brothers, Georges and Jean (late Gabrielle), she leaves behind four sisters-in-law: Thérèse (late Maurice Séguin), Laurette (late René Fournier), Gloria (late Roger Sarazin) and Denise (late Richard Sarazin), as well as many nieces and nephews. Despite her advanced age, she leaves behind many neighbours and friends with whom she had the pleasure of sharing many happy moments in their company.

The family invites parents and friends to a ceremony in the presence of Aline’s ashes on Saturday January 13th, 2024 at the Funeral Coop of Ottawa, located at 419 St-Laurent Boul. (Ottawa). Expressions of condolences will be received from 1:00 to 2:30 pm. A celebration of life will follow at 2:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to The Ottawa Hospital or to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be greatly appreciated. The family would like to express their gratitude to the healthcare providers of both institutions for all the excellent care provided.

Francine Sarazin and family

My condolences to you and your family Francine. Your Mom was a lovely woman and I enjoyed interacting with her when the opportunities arose. You were a wonderful daughter to her! Thinking of you during this difficult time and hoping your fond memories of times with your mother will help to sustain you.

Warm regards,
Lisa Walker

Francine and Jacques

I know how difficult these times can be. My husband Bruce passed away September 29th and Joanne’s husband Rob passed away January 5th. Sad times for all.
I have many fond memories of your parents visiting mine on Sherbrooke Street and all the good laughs we had.
I had planned on attending the service today but living out of town, the weather did not cooperate.
Please know that your mom and your families are in my prayers.
