1931 - 2024

On October 24, 2024, at the age of 93, Margaret Paiement (nee Murphy) left this world peacefully to become an angel and join her late husband Yvon Paiement.

Beloved daughter of the late Clara Burke and Joseph Murphy. Mother to predeceased children Marlene, Ronald (Joanne), and Lorraine. Margaret leaves behind her surviving children Robert, Peter, and Linda (Patrick). Cherished Nana to Justin (Sarah), Trevor (Jackie), Ashley (Kris) and great grand-nana to Ashton, Hayden, and Colton. Dear sister to predeceased siblings Helen (Eldon), Reginald, Catherine (Ralph), and Leo (Cathy). She will be missed dearly by many extended family members and friends.

Margaret will be remembered for her kindness and a laugh that could light up any room. She lived a fulsome life; spending her childhood on her family farm located in Saint-Columban, surrounding herself with loved ones, baking, playing Bingo, and being the Ottawa Senator’s biggest cheerleader.

Visitations will be held at the Coopérative Funéraire de l'Outaouais, 750 Maloney Blvd E, Gatineau, from 7 to 9pm on Friday, November 15th. Family and friends are also invited to gather for a funeral service to celebrate Margaret’s life on Saturday, November 16th at 10:00am at the St. Columban Church located at 311 chemin Saint-Columban, in Gatineau.

Linda - My heartfelt sympathies again to you and your family. I know this is a huge loss to all of you. I remember your mom exactly as described - filled with kindness and laughter. I recall bumping into the two of you at the Casino. She was having so much fun. Cherish the memories.
