Mack passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024, at 82 years of age after losing his battle with Alzheimer’s. A loving and proud father, husband and grandfather, he will be remembered for his entrepreneurial spirit, wicked wit and generosity and for his love of hockey!

Proud grandfather of Abigail (Lendvai), Christian, Malcolm & Thomas (Kyne) and Samantha & Tyler (Pang) and great grandfather to 6 little girls.

Mack was the eldest of four and was born in Woodstock, New Brunswick. He is survived by his brothers Donald and Paul Dort and predeceased by his younger sister Joyce Whitton. Mack met and married Joan in Scotland where Lynn and Lesley were born.

He traveled extensively throughout his life and pursued numerous business ventures. He built a successful career in advertising sales and publishing, eventually becoming the owner and publisher of Marketplace Publishers Inc.

Steve and I send all of you our caring thoughts and prayers. Although we didn’t know Mack very long, we certainly enjoyed his sense of humour, and our chats outdoors in our neighbourhood. May the Lord keep you all in His care. Rest easy, Mack️
