Linda Stevenson, Stuart Mann
Hello Cousins, After speaking to Stuart last week have been searching for the two obituaries.I stayed up until 3:30 am Thursday night , searching with no luck. Shared the sad news with our other cousins in the U.S.Bingo! Cousin Judy found them both early this morning . Aunt Lorna lived a long , full life filled with lots of love . She was a beautiful , kind , soft spoken lady with a sense of humour. Your beautiful words brought tears to my eyes. Well done.
I, personally was blessed to bump into her years ago , outside Gordon’s Store in the Amherst Mall. Yes, Aunt Lorna and I chuckled by the name of the men’s store name , being Gordon’s. The meeting was made to be.That embrace will always be cherished.
Mary Isobel and I were born Coal Miner’s Daughters ,from Springhill , as well.
I , have been in touch with Charles James, who lost his dear wife a few months ago. He was a stranger to me but not now. Charles was so understanding and friendly. We plan to meet in the future.
Your dear mother was born into the James Family , but married into the Mann Family.Your Dad was our sweetheart too. He visited us often while at Mount Allison University Sackville , N.B. Both of your parents enriched our lives , as well.
Grandma Mann, welcomed a baby boy into her family with unconditional love . His brothers and sisters spoiled the youngest , last member of their family until death. May you all find comfort both your parents were respected and loved by us all. Thanks be to God , that I found Stuart’s phone number ,your dear Mom , gave me years ago while in a former nursing home . The Stevenson phone number was only answered once . Enjoyed our chat, Linda.David and I were saddened to hear your husband passed into a new life too. Accept our sincere sympathy.
Their memories live on eternally in our hearts.
Love , Carolyn Mann Proctor
