SMITH SIMPSON, Laurita

Passed away peacefully at the CHUS Fleurimont, on Monday, January 2nd 2006, at the age of 88 years. Laurita Catherine Smith, beloved wife of the late Robert Woodliffe Simpson and dear mother of Jane (Dale Carson) and Robert (Joanne Rowcliffe). Cherished grammie of Shane Carson (Amanda), Matthew Simpson (Karla) and Brianne Simpson. Rita is survived by her sister’s-in-law Lal Forsyth, Mary Cuthbertson, her brother-in-law William Day (Bernice) and many nieces and nephews. Rita is predeceased by her sisters Winnifred Alexander, Mildred Blunt and her brother Marvel Smith. In respect of her wishes, cremation was held at the Cass Funeral home, 295 Principale S., Richmond, (819) 826-2502 \ www.casshomes.ca, where friends may visit on Thursday, January 5th 2006 from 7 to 9 PM and on Friday from 10 to 10:45AM. The funeral service will take place at St-Anne’s Anglican Church, Richmond, QC, on Friday January 6th at 11:00AM. Interment in the Ulverton United Church Cemetery will take place at a later date. Donations to the Kirkdale Anglican Church, the Ulverton United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
