Laurel Ruth Edwards Laurin

It is with great sadness that we announce her peaceful passing on November 26, 2017 at the age of 66.

Beloved wife of Gerald Laurin and daughter of the late Isobel Gregg and the late Oliver Edwards. She leaves behind her loving children: Emil (Jennifer Anderson), Joel (Angela Zheng), Daniel (Karen Laurin), Genevieve (Chad Marcoux) and Annika (Raj Wasson); her cherished grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Sarah and Micah.  She also leaves her sister Sheryl (the late Larry Lindberg); her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Gisèle (Bev Fyfe), Doris (Lucien Rioux), Lucille (the late Eddy Dégagné), Donna (Claude Laurin), Rolande (Jean-Marie Rioux), Beverly (Roger Laurin) and Paulette (Marc Russell) as well as many relatives and friends.

The celebration of  her life will be held at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L'OUTAOUAIS, at 95 Cité-des-Jeunes Blvd, in Gatineau (Hull sector), on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 6:00 pm . The family will receive condolences at 5:30 pm.

Cher Gerry,
Nos plus sincères condoleances à toi , les enfants et la famille pour la perte de Laurel.Perdre un être cher crée un grand vide dans notre vie . Ce vide pour qu'il ne prenne pas toute la place, il faut le remplir de beaux souvenirs, d'anecdotes la concernant, de photos la rappelant. Cette trisitesse va se transformer en tendresse par Laurel qui restera toujours dans vos coeurs et veillera sur vous tous. On vous souhaite à tous bon courage .

PS: Nous sommes aussi dans le deuil avec le décès de Mme LeBlans samedi le 25 novembre à l'âge de 101 ans.

Laurel's Family

I was saddened to hear of your loss. I worked with Laurel on the Hill in the Whip's office and we shared many a drive home together to Aylmer after long days.

She was a lovely women and I know will be missed by many.
