COUMBS, Karen

1938 - 2024

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Karen Coumbs at 86 years of age

Karen passed away on Sunday October 27, 2024 at Extendicare, Kirkland Lake, Ontario.

Karen was predeceased  by her parents Edwin and Ida Bulmer, brothers Roy and Jack and Max, her sisters Betty and Norma.

Karen is survived by Bucky, her son Kirk (Jo-Ann), her brothers Bruce and Ted, Grandsons Kevin and Aaron (Stephonie), her great grandchildren Emery and Aurora, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family who were more than just friends.

Karen was an avid golfer and curler and enjoyed her outings with her dear friends, a true animal lover, and sitting outside feeding her Chipmunks.  Many of you may remember her working at Kresge's for over 35 years.

As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.

Bucky, son Kirk and her loved ones

Was heartbroken to hear the news. She was my friend and neighbour
for over 59 years. Always smiling, treated her pets like babies, loved to feed
the squirrels and chipmunks on her veranda. Another Chaput Hughes
resident has earned her wings. RIP Karen..Miss you

Sending support and warm thoughts to Karen’s family and friends. My perception of Karen was that of a very gracious lady. I got to know Karen through golf and we really did have a lot of laughs whether at the KL course or the few tournaments we attended. Karen was up for any golf challenge and you could tell she enjoyed her time with her golfing gals. Rest peacefully Karen
