Peacefully at the La Providence Hospital, Magog, QC on Thursday, May 18th 2006 . John Hunt Johnston at the age of 85, dear father of Richard ( Marilyn ),Mayerthorpe, Alt.,Linda ( Ron Smith ), North Hatley, QC. Cherished grandfather of David and Ricky Johnston, Ronald ( Wendy ) and Cheryl Smith; great-grandfather of Alexander and Abigail Smith and Nina Johnston. John is survived by his brothers: William and Douglas; his former wife Helen Tetreault other relatives and friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Homes, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke, formely 6 Belvidere St. Lennoxville, QC .Tel: 564-1750 / www.casshomes.ca where friends may visit on Thursday, May 25th 2006 from 12 to 2p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00p.m. with the Rev. Doreen Moffat officiating. Interment in the Reedsville Cemetery, North Hatley, QC. As memorial tributes, donations to the North Hatley Curling Club, c/o North Hatley Curling Club, P.O.Box 2682, North Hatley, QC J0B 2C0 would be greatly appreciated by the family.
