LÉGARÉ, Jeanne
1952 - 2020
Madame
It is with great sadness that we share with you the lost of our beloved sister Jeanne LÉGARÉ. Jeanne passed away on April 18, 2020 at the young age of 68 following a long and brave fight with cancer. Jeanne was pre-deceased by her loving husband Michael Tucker, by her parents Louis-Georges Légaré and Jeannine Rochon as well as her brother-in-law and dear friend Robert Fraser. She will be mourned by her family that she loved, her brother Gilles (Josette), sisters Danielle (Alain) and Francine, her three nieces Stéphanie (Dominic), Mélanie (Jermaine) and Elisha as well as her two nephews Nicolas and Jesse (Shawn). She is also mourned by her four living aunts (Irène, Thérèse, Anita and Juliette), two uncles (Guy and Lucien) as well as many cousins and friends. Jeanne has lived a life filled with joy including a long career with Global Affairs Canada that she was proud of and enabled her to explore the world. She has been a distinguished representative of our country and has defended the rights of many Canadians abroad often in difficult situations.
Jeanne requested that friends and family gather and share a good meal to celebrate and remember her life instead of a formal funeral service.
The event will be held at a later date.
Donations to the Maison Mathieu Froment-Savoie are both welcome and appreciated.
The family would like to thank and recognize the kindness and companionate care provided to Jeanne in the final stage of her journey by the personnel of Maison Mathieu Froment-Savoie and the CLSC.
Jeanne insisted to share with you a song that she feels is a true reflection of her life and journey and wishes you all, a life filled with love and happiness.
My Way
