It is with deepest sorrow, the family announces the passing of Jean Emily Phippen (nee Brown) at the Kirkland & District Hospital on Tuesday, July 24, 2007. Jean was born in Port Robinson, Ontario on August 27, 1922 to the late May and Walter Brown. She is also predeceased by her husband Edward and her sister Mary (Carl) Wilson. Jean is survived by her 3 sons Ted (Pat), Wayne (Tina), and Darryl (Lenka). She leaves her sisters Ena, Lillian and Merle; 6 grandchildren Kerry, Eddie, Jeff, Bonnie, Erika and Mark and 4 great-grandchildren, Kiara, Riley, Casey and Kelsey. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved to hear all about their lives. Jean was an avid reader, knitter and seamstress. The family will welcome friends at the Monette & French Funeral Home on Thursday, July 26, 2007 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. in the “Teck-Hughes” Chapel with the Rev. David Naylor officiating. In memoriam contributions to the Cancer Society, Teck-Pioneer Residence or to the Kirkland & District Hospital would be greatly appreciated.Offer Condolence for the family of Jean Phippen
