BASTIEN, Jean-Claude

1946 - 2018

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of

Jean Claude Bastien,

Friday September 28th at 1:45am surrounded by family in the Gatineau Hospital.
He was a hard working, strong loving, dedicated husband, father and grandfather welcoming his extended family in with open arms.
He spent his retirement years in comfort, the way he wanted to.
His love for sports was second only to his love for his wife Donna, his children Chris (Jen Plaxton), Shawn (Joelle Demers), Kim (Garnet Levac) and grandchildren; Rebecca, Zane, Jeremy, Damian, Riley, and Emily.
Preceded by his parents Dalvinio and Yvonne, his brothers Jean-Pierre, Marcel and sister Jeannine; Survived only by his brother Robert.
He was the first to call you on your birthday, loved telling jokes and would always make time to listen to you. He was the rock of the family and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In lieu of flowers please donate to diabetic association or the heart and stroke foundation in his name.

Kim and family

My heart goes out to you all in this very difficult time. I know the feeling of losing my dad and the loss of someone you love will have an empty place in your heart. Fill it up with the incredible memories you have shared together.
