ELEMENT-LAXSON, Janet

1938 - 2022

It is with a sad heart that the family of Janet (Lockwood) Element-Laxson of Carleton Place announce her passing on August 19, 2022 at the Fairview Manor in Almonte, ON.  Janet is formerly of Danville, Quebec, and is predeceased by her parents Stuart Lockwood and Gladys Marchand and first husband Gerry Element.

Mother of Brian and Janice (Benoit). Missed by husband Bob Laxson and his children Gordon (Betty), Brian Andrew, Barbara (Rein), and grandchildren Laura, Christopher, Jonathan, Sarah, and Daniel.

The family would like to thank the Fairview Manor of Almonte for their excellent care of her over the last 13 years. 

Janet was a long-time resident in Danville and was always active in the community.  She was a member of the Catholic Women’s League, the A.D.S. parent committee and a long-time correspondent for the area for the Sherbrooke Record. 

In keeping with Janet’s wishes she has been cremated and her inurnment will take place at the Sainte-Anne church in Danville, Quebec on Saturday, September 24, 2022.  There will be visitation in the church from 9 to 11 with a mass to follow.
