BERNARD, Jack

1933 – 2024

BERNARD, Joseph (Jack) Lucien Jacques

Peacefully passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the age 91. Beloved husband of the late Donnamary (Donna) Bernard and common law wife, the late Sandra (Sandy) Dell. Loving father of Jayne and Janet (Paul). Grandfather of Sharla Adams (Chris) and Trevor Bernard. Great grandfather of Emma Adams.

Son of the late Yvonne and Lucien Bernard. He is also predeceased by his brother, Roland Bernard and Sister, Pauline Couturier. He will be fondly remembered by his surviving brother, Jules Bernard (Rita) and sisters, Helen York (the late Gil York) and Suzanne Abboud (Louis). He leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Jack served the Department of National Defence for many years as a technical graphic illustrator. In his retirement, he was always fixing something. His artistic talent came in handy when making something broken look like new again. He loved cottage life, hockey, tennis, being outdoors and was an avid reader of non-fiction books.

A private family interment will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to The Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County or the charity of your choice.
