DANNEAU BACON, Irene Dorothy

2009

It is with the greatest regret, deepest sorrow, yet gentle relief that we share with you the passing of our mother, Irene Dorothy Bacon of Stanstead, Quebec. Peacefully, during the afternoon of April 9, 2009, Irene relinquished her courageous, seven-year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born in the year 1919 and was pre-deceased by her parents John Francis Danneau and Leah Bessie Simoneau and her husband James Alexander. She leaves her love behind with her two children, Gail Audrey and Shelley John (Janet Purchase), her three grandchildren, Katalin, Isaac and Emily. She will also be sadly missed by S. Wendy Ryan along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Irene will be fondly remembered for her strong sense of family commitment and devotion, her welcoming and positive attitude, hard work and her easy going manner which endeared her to so many. Irene’s family holds the highest regard for the staff at the Foyer Wales Home located in Richmond, Quebec, and wishes to thank them for their dedication and support over the years. Thanks Mom, for providing your unconditional love, your strength, your kindness and providing, with Dad, a secure and peaceful household. The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Cass Funeral Home, 545 Dufferin, Stanstead, Qc. 819-876-5213, followed by the service in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m..If desired, in lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial in Irene’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, 375 Argyle, Edifice Norton, Local 0725, Sherbrooke, Qc. J1J 3H5 . Peaceful be thy sleep, Mom.
