Francine and I would like to extend to you our deepest sympathies on the passing of your beloved husband
Henri.
Francine & Dave Bennett
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Henri Albert Brazeau on Tuesday, 13th of June, 2023 at the Long Term Care Facility of the CHSLD Windsor, Quebec.
An accomplished artist, musician, adventurer, rock-hounder, spelunker, Inn-keeper, gold-miner, traveler, and storyteller, Henri leaves behind his spouse and best friend, Debra-Lee Batyi, brother Paul and extended family members. Henri will be lovingly remembered by those who knew and worked with him from across Canada. He will be remembered fondly by those who cared for him at the various care homes located in Rawdon, Cleveland, and Windsor, QC during the past years.
Henri’s murals, “Windows to the Past”, commissioned for the Historic building of the “The Centre Culturel Francophone de l’Okanagan (CCFO)” located on Pandosy St. in Kelowna, BC, will remain a legacy to his devotion to the Arts, the artistic representation of History and his love of the Francophone culture and language.
Henri was a gentle soul who will be greatly missed.
The family wishes to extend their most humble gratitude to the care team at the long-term care facility of the CHSLD Windsor, QC., for the exceptional care Henri received each, and every day he was there.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to the “Fondation du Centre de sante et de services sociaux du Val-Saint-Francois” by following the link: www.csssvsf.com
Cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral. Family will celebrate his life in a small meaningful way and private interment of his ashes into the family gravesite will take place at the cemetery in Notre-Dame de la Paix, Quebec, at a future date. At the appropriate time, you might raise a glass of wine in his memory.
