It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helga Schafer (born Burgstaller), deceased on May 18, 2020 at the age of 87.

Beloved wife of the late Willi August Schafer, loving mother to Harry (Michelle), Christine (Lawson), cherished grandmother to Katryna Schafer, Stephanie Hillier Jackson (Calvin); great grandmother to Justin and Connor.

She will also be missed by many other family members and friends.

Predeceased by sister Gerda, brothers Fred, Kurt and Willy, and son Harry.

Our overwhelming grief will be tempered by the privilege, support and joyful memories of having had Helga in our lives.

Due to the current circumstances, there will be no ceremony.  

In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Helga’s name would be greatly appreciated.
