Hélène Legault
July 17, 1944 - January 1, 2021
It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Hélène, 76 years old on January 1 at the chalet of her sister Pauline and brother-in-law Lionel. She had been fighting ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis - Lou Gehrig's disease). She passed away in peace and quiet.
Wife of the late Maurice Legault, she leaves behind sisters and brothers, Pauline Sauvé (Lionel), Louis Goulet, Claire Faubert (Roger), Jacques Goulet (Louise) and Diane Irène Goulet, her sister-in-law Denise Mourier (Jean), her brother-in-law Gilles Legault (Hélène), nieces and nephews, in particular Cynthia Bruce-Payne (Geoff) and her sons, Justin and Hugo as well as many cousins and friends.
Hélène will be remembered for her courage, her composure, her patience, her passion for reading and love of the arts and culture.
The family wishes to thank Lyne Charlton and her team, CLSC Gatineau for the care and services rendered to Hélène. A special thanks to Chantal Gingras and René Barbe, neighbours and friends who have supported her and rendered numerous services for many years.
Given the present situation, a funeral service will be held at a later date. Family and friends will be notified in due time.
A donation to a foundation of one's choice could be made or to the ALS Society of Quebec.
