FISH MORRISON, Hazel

2006

Unexpectedly, but peacefully, while visiting Toronto, at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, with family by her side. Devoted wife of 54 years to Arthur Lewis Morrison. Loving mother of Laurie ( Larry ) and Wendy ( John ). Cherished " Gramma Hazel " to Tom, Jake and Mallory. Formerly of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Hazel was a graduate Nurse of the Sherbrooke Hospital ( Class of 1946 ) and was actively involved in the Sherbrooke Hospital Nurses Alumni Association. Lifelong friend of Lorna ( Bud ) and Kay Laperle ( Jack ) and many others too numerous to mention. She was a loving and generous woman who valued her family and friends above all else. Hazel found joy in life's simple pleasures and was famous for her chocolate chip cookies. She was also a fiesty woman, a lover of fashion, always impeccably groomed and attentive to the smallest detail. Every hair was always in its place. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. Family and friends may call at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St, Sherbrooke, QC ( formerly 6 Belvidere St, Lennoxville ) on Saturday, June 24th from 1 to 3 p.m., followed by interment at the Johnville Cemetery. For those so wishing, in lieu of flowers and in keeping with Hazel's love for children and animals, please consider a donation to the theapeutic assistance organization, Canines with a Cause, 25 Trevor Crescent, Ottawa, ON K2H 6H7 A very special thanks to Regina, of the V.O.N. and Dr. Selwyn X. De Souza, of Ottawa, for their exceptional care of Hazel, above and beyond the call of duty.
