GLENNIS G. REYNOLDS
July 16, 1932 – November 3rd, 2024
We are sad to announce the passing of Glennis Reynolds of Gatineau on November 3, 2024. Glennis was the loving and devoted wife of Brian Reynolds for 69 years. Glennis was the youngest of nine siblings raised on the Scharfe farm in West Templeton, Quebec. Like many large families of that time, there was always music and singing as they gathered around the piano while the sisters step-danced and their father played the fiddle.
Glennis had an eye for fashion and home décor. Her home and gardens were a source of pride to her. She always enjoyed hosting special events with family and friends throughout the year in her well-decorated home.
Glennis and Brian shared their love of cottage life at three different lakes, most recently on Grand Lake, Quebec. They hosted many lake events at their cottage and spent many beautiful summer days cruising the lake they loved with family and friends.
For many years they were snowbirds and spent their winters in Florida. The most recent winter home was in Sarasota. They were very involved in the local community and participated in many fundraising events and social activities with Canadian visitors and new American friends.
She will be greatly missed by her beloved husband, Brian, many nieces and nephews, and friends.
Friends and family are invited to attend services on November 15 at La Coopérative funéraire de l’Outaouais, 750 Maloney Blvd. E., Gatineau, QC J8P 1G4. Visitation is at 9 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m. with a reception immediately afterwards. The graveside burial will take place at the East Templeton United Church Cemetery after the reception. It will be possible to view the ceremony via https://commemora.tv/en/diffusions/99625
