1959 - 2024

After a courageous battle with cancer, Glenn Joseph Berrea passed away peacefully on January 20, 2024, at the age of 64. Surrounded by his loving family. He is predeceased by his parents Brian and Sheila Berrea. He will be so sadly missed. 

Glenn is survived by his life partner Carole Chitouras and his dog Bear. Also missed by his siblings Debbie (Jeff), Sheila (Ed), Judy (Richard), Ronnie, Dan (Robin) and Kim (Roel). As well, Sylvie (Steve), predeceased Charlene (Harold), as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and best friends.

Glenn will always be remembered for his gentle nature, his joyful laugh and a quick smile. He loved spending time with family and friends, riding his motorcycle and was always willing to help anyone out. 

The Berrea family would like to invite you for visitations on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Coopérative funéraire de l'Outaouais located at 750 Maloney E. Boulevard in Gatineau, QC J8P 1G4. 

Funeral mass will take place on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the St-Aloysius Gonzaga Parish located at 300 Abbe Murray Street in Gatineau, QC J8P 4Z4. The family will receive condolences at 10 a.m.  

Special thanks to Dr. Vickers and the cancer team at the Ottawa Hospital and the team at the Irving Greenberg cancer center, also, special thanks to the staff at the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice in Kanata. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

Carole and all of my Berrea cousins

It’s never easy and our sympathies are with all of you.

I remember Glenn very well and vividly. His motorcycle. Easy smile. He will be missed. My elder Cousin left us too soon.

I’m happy for his memory.
