Diane, Roger and family
to all, our most sincere and deepest condolences . May she rest in peace…
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Gilberte Robertson (Gravelle), on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the age of 101 years and 7 months. She was the daughter of the late Wilfrid Gravelle and the late Bertha Daoust. She was predeceased by her son Michel, who died accidentally in 1968, and by her husband Telmon (Ted), in 2017. She was also predeceased by two sisters and 6 brothers.
She is survived by her daughter Diane (Roger Lamirande), her two grandsons whom she adored, Iannick and Karl (Caroline Parent), as well as her great-grandchildren, Hailey and Chelsea Lamirande, and Amélie, Noémie and Antoine Lamirande. She also leaves her two sisters, Thérèse Maloney and Louise Alexander, her two sisters-in-law, Kay Gravelle and Barb Gravelle, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Very artistic, her oil paintings can be found in many homes. She has also painted hundreds of miniature canvases for various organizations and events. Always positive and smiling, her joie de vivre will have marked all those who knew her. When she was younger, she also took up sports, such as golf, cross-country skiing, bowling... She was active until almost the very end, living independently in her apartment.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, November 16 at 10 am, at the Coopérative funéraire de l'Outaouais located at 95 de la Cité des Jeunes Boulevard, Gatineau (Hull sector).
