LAFRANCE, Gaston
In hospital on Tuesday July 2, 2019 after sudden illness, Gaston (Gus) was taken from us at the age of 89, 22 days short of his 90th birthday.
Gus was the beloved husband of the late Claire Bergin and the son of the late Omer Lafrance and late Anna Lepage. He was the father of Danny (Linda Quinn), Bill, the late Anita (Denis Gatien) and Mitchell (Kirk Larson). He was also the grandfather of Matthew (Michelle Scott) and David Lafrance, and Julien and Amelie Gatien, as well as the great-grandfather of Owen, who sadly he had not yet met. Gus is also survived by siblings Rachel and Fleurette, and predeceased by brothers and sisters Marie, Rita, Rene, Jean-Paul, Therese, Gisele and Yolande.
Friends and family may pay their respects at Coopérative funéraire de l'Outaouais, 1369, boul. La Vérendrye Ouest, Gatineau, on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St-Aloysius Church, 300 rue de l'Abbé-Murray, Gatineau on Wednesday, July 10 at 11 a.m. followed by interment at Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa. Following the interment, refreshments will be served for friends and family at the Pinecrest Reception Centre located within Pinecrest Cemetery.

Gus now makes his final journey to reunite with his precious Claire, whom God has been holding in the palm of his hand.
