TAYLOR EVANS, Frances

2007

EVANS, Frances (nee Taylor), suddenly on September 17, at her Georgeville home. She had 95 years of active life, most of it in Georgeville where she had been the United and Anglican Church organist, the former for over seven decades. Beloved wife of the late Norman Evans, loving mother of Robert (Edna), Art (Jean), Norma (John Knight), Ruth (Peter MacFarlane), and Eric. She will be greatly missed by her 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Frances was raised in Austin Quebec. She is survived by her sister Olive Burbank and predeceased by sisters Erma Hagen and Marion Byham, and brothers John and Keith. Following her wishes, there will be no immediate funeral service. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 on Sunday, October 7, 2007, at the Georgeville United Church, followed by a gathering at the Community Hall. She loved flowers, but said "not after I am gone." Friends may remember her by donations to the Georgeville United Church or a charity of their choice.
