Floyd J. KERR

March 4, 1932 – September 15, 2024

With great sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Floyd Kerr in Sherbrooke on September 15, 2024, in his 93rd year. Floyd was predeceased by his father Howard Kerr, his mother Gracie Johnson, his step-mother Florence Johnson and his sister Marion Kerr (late Rupert Porter) (late Robert Blackadder).

He leaves to mourn his nephews and niece, Bruce Porter (Monique Lessard), Brian Porter (Patti Hume), Bruce Blackadder (Mary Joy Van Gaalen) and Amy Blackadder (Michael James), several cousins, great nieces and great nephews, and many friends across the Eastern Townships.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Grace Village, 1515 Pleasant View St., Sherbrooke (Huntingville) on Monday, September 30, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. An Oddfellow and Rebekah service will be held at the beginning of the visitation period. A private graveside ceremony will be held in North Hatley at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations (in no order of preference) to Unity Lodge # 8 - IOOF, Grace Village Care Foundation - Dr. W. J. Klinck Fund, Reedsville Cemetery, Lennoxville Curling Club or a charity of your choice in Floyd’s name would be greatly appreciated.

The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff at Grace Village and his previous home, Le Renaissance - Manoir St-Francis, for the kindness, compassion and care given to Floyd over the past years. It may not have always been properly acknowledged, but it was always greatly appreciated!
