FIRLOTTE LENA,

Passed away at the Kirkland & District Hospital on Sunday, September 14, 2008 with family at her side. She is predeceased by her husband Simon; parents Robert & Mavis (née Currie) Whelan, her brother Robert Whelan and daughter Cathy Pothier. Lovingly remembered by her children Sherry (Steve) Yee of Kirkland Lake, Jim McCombe of Toronto, Barry McCombe of Cobalt, Nick (Pauline) McCombe of Kirkland Lake and Carol Ann Proulx of Kirkland Lake as well as a special daughter-in-law Joan of Kirkland Lake. Lena will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Nicole, Jason, Ashley, Brian, Kevin, Amanda, Cole, Robert, Jennifer, Alysha, Paige, Madison, Meadow, Chance and 3 precious great grandchildren Hope, Tessa and Liam. The family will welcome friends at the MONETTE & FRENCH FUNERAL HOME (450 Government Road West, Kirkland Lake, ON., P2N 3L1) on Wednesday from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. followed by a funeral service in the “Teck-Hughes” Chapel at 12:30 p.m. with The Rev.
