Éric Bruce Mitchell

July 23, 1984 - August 6, 2021

Our beloved Éric passed away in the early morning hours of August 6. He was the son of Claire Lepage and Bruce Mitchell, brother of Sarah Mitchell (Matthew Atkinson) and uncle to Samuel and Elise.

Éric faced many medical and intellectual challenges throughout his short life. He was courageous, brave and strong in dealing with all of them in his own unique way. He was generous with his smiles and kisses to everyone he met. He had a wicked and mischievous sense of humour. His love of life, Sesame Street, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune was legendary.

Thanks to all the doctors, specifically Dr. Robert Gendron, nurses and medical staff who have helped Éric lead a fulfilling life. A special thank you to the young people (Julie, Marjo, Janick, Anne and Sophie) who cared for Éric in his early years and so enriched his life.

Éric was the centre of our world. He gave so much and asked for so little in return. Rest in peace, Éric. Your work is done. We will miss you everyday and are so grateful to have had you in our lives.
