Emily SMERDON (1934-2013) Passed away peacefully at the CHUS Fleurimont, on December 12, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Graydon Smerdon. Dear mother of Carol (Steve Bencsics), Donna (Gary Nuttall), Diane (Peter Niven), Barry (Donna Mercier), Steven (Julie Turgeon). Loving grandmother of Candice (Corey), Katrina (Alana), Dave, Scott (Maki), Tyler, Tamara, Asheley (Marc), Heidi, Kate, Hannah, Mathieu and Joseph. Loving great-grandmother of Aya and Hunter. Dear sister of Frances and Freddy (Pat). Predeceased by her brothers Billy (Betty), Bert (Dorothy) and Norman (Betty). Emily will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held at the Cass Funeral Homes, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), on Friday, December 20, 2013 from 2 to 4 pm. A funeral service will be held at St. George's Anglican Church, 84 Queen St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 11 am. Rev. Heather Thomson officiating. Interment in the Malvern Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the ANAF Ladies Auxilary c/o Bursaries and Scholarship Fund, 300 St. Francis St. Sherbrooke, QC J1M 2B0 would be appreciated by the family.
