It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Elmer Savoie, surrounded by his loved ones, on March 17, 2024, at the age of 74 in Gatineau (Hull).  He was the spouse of Maryse Ayotte, the son of the late Harry Savoy and the late Lydia Basque from Leech and Haut-Sheila (N.B.).

Besides his spouse, he is survived by his beloved son William-Alexandre, his brothers Eldred (Georgine), Roger (Édith), Émmédé (Louisette) and Kenneth (Velma); his sisters Lorna (Joe) and Carol (Hal), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his favorite matante Aurore (aunt). His late sister Patricia (Van) is with him in the afterlife.

A proud Acadian and loved by all, he leaves a joy of living, a legacy of unforgettable memories and beautiful stories of life in Acadia, in Canada and around the world.

In keeping with his wishes, family will be receiving relatives and friends starting at 7 pm on May 9 at the Robichaud and Son Funeral Home, located at 3875, Principale Street, Tracadie, New Brunswick, Canada.  

The funeral will be held at Immaculée-Conception de Rivière-du-Portage Church on friday May 10 at 11 h.  The service will be available simultaneously on the Robichaud and Son Funeral Home Facebook page.

Visiting hours: Thursday May 9, from 7 pm to 9 pm and Friday May 10, from 9 h 30 am to 10 h 30 am.
