SLATTERY, Edwina Joyce

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edwina (Win) Joyce Slattery on Aril 14, 2023 at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus, a few days short of her 87^th birthday.

Born on April 27, 1936, to William Fred Slattery and Stella Eloise Slattery, née Hébert.  She was the partner to the late Paul R. Barkley and is survived by her brother Frederick (Bud), her sisters Suzanne, Erid and Louise, nine nieces and nephews, a grand-nephew, a grand-niece, and a great-grand-niece.  Her sister Patricia and her two brothers James and Michael predeceased her.

During her career with the Canadian Federal Government, Win was an early activist, working for women’s rights.  Afterwards, she became active in buying and selling antiques and collectibles, a leisure activity she truly enjoyed.

At her request, there will be no funeral but rather a private family gathering for a Celebration of Life on Monday, July 24, 2023.
