BUSH (NÉE JONASON), Dorothy

1928 - 2023

Dorothy “Dot” Bush nee (Jonason) peacefully passed away on December 30 th with her loving family by her side at the Blache River Health Hospital in Kirkland Lake.

Dot is predeceased by her husband Eldon, 4 sons Bobby, Wayne, Danny, Jimmy and her infant great granddaughter Mia.

She is survived by her 2 daughters Linda (Glenn) Hoppins, Patsy (Jerry) Boudreault, and her bonus daughter Tammy MacDonald. Her grandchildren Blaine, Shane, Tara-Lynn, Tara-Lynn, Carrie, Jason, Adam & Angelina as well as 12 great grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter on the way in the spring.

Dot was born in Cobalt and moved to Chaput Hughes with her husband Eldon early on and remained in her home till the very end at amazing age of 95. Dot sure loved her sports. She was most content sitting in her chair watching her favorite curlers on her big screen TV and/or a great football game. Even at the end she was upset that she missed her Sunday football games while she had a short stint in the hospital. Every grandchild’s memory of their precious Nan/Gram was eating the pink peppermints she always had in her candy bowl or the taste of the fake fruit that she would get a chuckle of when they tried to eat them.

In keeping with Dot’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation will take place and a private internment with her family will be done at a later date to reunite her with her husband Eldon.

Fly high in the Sky Mom/Gram/Nan, you lived a long legacy life that we all will cherish through our fond memories we had over the years. Till we meet again! Xo
