It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Diane Languedoc who left us on August 27 at the age of 74. Daughter of Léon Languedoc and Laurette Lavoie, both deceased, she was the beloved wife of Lionel Huard. She was the loving mother of Mélanie Maisonneuve (Adam Blondin) and Marie France Maisonneuve and dear grandmother of Liam and Zoé Lévesque. "Mme Mai" also leaves behind Anne-Catherine Huard and Marie-Ève Huard (Patrick Laliberté) and their children: Madeleine, Mya and Albert Viau as well as Louis, Victoria, Sofia and Elisabeth Laliberté. She will be missed by her sisters Nicole Casey (Patrick Casey, deceased) Lynne Languedoc (Tony Gombas) and her brother Daniel Languedoc (Jane Languedoc) as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends, here and in Roatan. A ceremony in her memory will be held on Tuesday September 13 at 2 pm at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L’OUTAOUAIS, located at 95 boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes in Gatineau (Hull). The family will receive condolences as of 1:30 pm.

Lio we are so sorry to learn about Diane’s passing. She was such a beautiful person, inside and out. We admire her perseverance with MS and her always positive attitude despite the difficult health issues she lived. We are happy that she was able to spend time in Roatan the past few winters. Diane, my kayak buddy, I miss you so very much! I have tried to get out there and paddle through every bay, our special places where the turtles sun themselves on logs, where the cedars would cover us when it would rain, inlets where we would get caught on shoals, where we would take refuge on the beach during storms - waiting for Leo to come and rescue us! We laughed and solved the problems of the world every day of the summer. Sometimes we would just stay safely in our bay if the wind was too strong. How we cheered each spring when you could get into your kayak successfully and sometimes not!

I had the pleasure of meeting and being in Diane's presence on many occasions and she always left a lasting impression. Her smile and warmth which lit up the room was testament to her love for her family. Rest in peace Diane.
It is with our deepest condolences to you all in the passing of Diane. Her infectious smile, wit, determination and humor will truly be missed by all who knew her. We are grateful for the fabulous times we spent with Diane. Smoothies with a kick on the beach, wine on the patio, buggy racing to any restaurant that would have us and our chats under the sea grape tree. We will cherish her friendship and the memories of one of a kind great lady.

Dommages que je ne viens de voir cet annonce ce soir! Qu’elle perte de ma meilleure amie a l’adolescence! J’aurais définitivement été des vôtres lors de la commémoration de sa vie! What a full and accomplished life she had. I searched for her through Facebook and other means. Unfortunately, it is only through the obituary that I finally found her again…..but with deep regret, too late!
Rest In Peace Diane…..I keep great memories of our teenage and young adult lives!
