COOK MARTINEAU, Deborah

1951 - 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife and mother, Deborah (Debbie) Martineau (née Cook), on February 15, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on July 23, 1951, in Ottawa, Ontario, Debbie was the daughter of the late George Cook and the late Eileen Hudson.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Wayne, who will miss her beyond words; her loving children, Chadwick (Melissa) and Crystal (Martin); and her cherished grandchildren, Austin and Ashley, who brought her endless joy. She also leaves behind her dear godson, Joey, along with many treasured relatives and friends. Debbie was predeceased by her two beloved sisters, Nancy O’Connell and Gail Medaglia.

Known for her unwavering strength and kind heart, Debbie was the rock of her family and a true friend to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warmth, wisdom, and love will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 11 am to 2 pm at the Centre Aydelu, 94 rue du Patrimoine, Gatineau (Aylmer), Québec, J9H 3P4.

For those who wish to send flowers, they may be delivered to the venue starting at 10 am.

I am so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you all at this difficult time.

I am sorry that I won’t be able to make her celebration of life as I won’t be back from Myrtle Beach until April.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
